IMPORTANT: there are 2 versions of Kestrel, the sona and the lore version. They are similar, but not the same!

Kestrel is my both my oldest and main fursona. He's a hybrid rat who just wants to chill. If not obvious enough, Kestrel is scene (or scenecore i rly dgaf), and has a bit of punk, emo, and frutiger aero mixed in. I LOVE THIS MAN he is literally me but cooler and stuff. He's a shapeshifter (which means i can draw him however I want lol). He likes the outdoors, art, energy drinks, loud music, websurfing, and going out with friends!

Lore: Kestrel was born into a farming family on the west end of Haretown, Lesser Kleereich, Phesiva. Unlike teh rest of his family, Kestrel inherited a genetic quirk that gave him enhanced shapeshifting abilities. This led to him being very glazed all of his younger life, although he didnt enjoy it. After Kestrel graduated, he set his sights on a major engineering university in Dimona. The tuition, however, was far too expensive for anybody in his family to pay for. Kestrel joined a theiving group in order to get enough money. That decision led to him meeting Smartie and Ocelot.

when Kestrel first arrived at PawTech's main lab, he broke into where the androids were charging. He didn't know that Smartie was awake, and stole stuff anyway. A few days or weeks later, he returned, and Smartie used this as an oppritunity to make him notice. Kestrel was very surprised when Smartie told him of all the wrongdoings that the lab's head: Pyla, had done. Kestrel was determined to help Smartie. They gave him a small charm that would vibrate if a distress call went through, and just a few days later, it did. Smartie was being decomissioned (killed). Kestrel drove the hundred or so miles with lightning pace, and by working together, helped Smartie escape with only minor injuries (violence yay). Smartie continues to live at Kestrel's home.

A few months after he and Smartie escaped, the theiving group sent him on a far more dangerous mission: steal jewels from the Amanaran royal palace. By an epic awesome conicidence, Kestrel broke into the room where Ocelot was sleeping (yay). Ocelot woke up immediately, but didn't alert anybody. He was curious. Kestrel freaked out and tried to book it, but Ocleot stopped him. Turns out Ocelot just wanted to talk. and talk they did, Kestrel got so much lore (and state secrets) that it hardly mattered when he forgot to actually take stuff. Kestrel did learn one important piece of info : Ocelot was actually meant to the crown prince (hes unc), but it was goven to his brother since Ocelot was a weak shapeshifter. Ocelot was hidden away by the rest of his family and hardly anybody knew he even existed. Kestrel continued to hang with Ocelot at least 2 nights a week, despite not being the biggest fan of being underwater. Kestrel managed to, much like with Smartie, get Ocleot to his home, which really confused the Amanaran royal family. Now, Ocelot is trying to expose his family.
